Credit Controller Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team at Petit Forestier UK Limited. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing our company's credit risk and ensuring timely payments from our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review customer financial health and identify potential risks
  • Minimize the risk of loss by ensuring payments are received on time
  • Collect debts in a timely and professional manner
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators to measure credit control effectiveness
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, sales teams, and customers
  • Administer new account applications, including credit checks and setting up accounts on our system
  • Identify and escalate potential risks to the Credit Manager
  • Work with the Credit Manager to develop credit control tools and processes
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as requested by senior team members

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in credit control in a B2B environment
  • Excellent operating knowledge of accounting software packages
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and email packages
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proven track record in managing complex accounts and debt reduction
