We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children in Care Advocate to join our team at Opus People Solutions Ltd. As an advocate, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the voices of children subject to Care Orders, Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children, Placed with Parents and children subject to Placement Orders are heard and valued.

Your primary responsibility will be to work with children to understand their needs and aspirations, and to communicate these to relevant stakeholders. You will also be responsible for supporting families and carers to access resources and services that meet their needs.

The salary for this position is £38 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role in promoting the welfare and well-being of vulnerable children. Key responsibilities include:
  • Working one-to-one with children to understand their needs and aspirations, and to communicate these to relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting families and carers to access resources and services that meet their needs.
  • Collaborating with other agencies/professionals to develop and implement care plans that prioritize the needs of children.
  • Maintaining accurate records of case notes and care plans, ensuring that information is easily accessible and up-to-date.
