We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Study Skills Support Professional to join our team at Randstad. As a Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) to achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized learning support and academic guidance to students with SpLDs.
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans that cater to each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with students to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to build on their learning strengths.
  • Support students in developing effective organization and time management skills, as well as creating action plans to stay on track with their studies.
  • Help students develop research skills, including identifying and utilizing a variety of sources, and correctly using references.
  • Assist students in building comprehension skills in reading and writing.
Requirements:
  • Membership with one of the following professional bodies: British Dyslexia Association (BDA), Professional Membership The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild, or The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify ways of helping students build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students.
