Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and patient-focused rehabilitation service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing holistic assessments, specialist occupational therapy treatment, and management of patients in their own homes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work flexibly and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also have the opportunity to undertake a wide variety of tasks and provide support to students and junior members of staff.

Main Duties of the Job

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking comprehensive assessments of patients with diverse or complex/multi-pathology presentations
  • Formulating and delivering specialist, individual, goal-oriented treatment programmes based on sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options
  • Ensuring a holistic approach to the overall care and rehabilitation of patients within the intermediate care and fast response service
  • Organising and planning own caseload to meet service and patient priorities

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and patient-focused rehabilitation service, supporting people in their own homes. The service runs 7 days a week, 8am-8pm, and also supports Urgent Crisis Response within 2 hours.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a relevant junior role, including the management of a range of conditions
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to present information, written and verbally, in a clear and logical manner
