Job Title: Adult Community Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Community Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry to join our team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to older adult patients with mental health needs, working closely with colleagues to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior medical support to the team, including direct input on clinical cases and guidance and supervision to junior colleagues.
  • Work directly with older adult patients and their families, liaising with other external providers and acute hospitals as necessary.
  • Develop links with local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards to ensure seamless care pathways.
  • Supervise junior colleagues and work collaboratively with other health and social professionals and agencies.

Requirements:

  • Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in older adults, including neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) in a relevant specialty or as a fixed-term specialty trainee.
