Taxation Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Specialist to join our team in the Indirect Tax department. As a key member of our group tax function, you will be responsible for leading the organisation's response to all tax, including tax strategy, risk management and compliance.

Key areas of ownership include corporation tax compliance and disclosures, R&D claims, VAT and employment tax compliance, providing advice to areas of the business including Payroll, Tech, Customs and Finance.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of VAT and tax laws, with the ability to interpret and apply them in a complex business environment. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the quarterly VAT returns for the main trading company
• Ensure new articles are set up correctly
• Prepare papers on new legislation
• Duty reconciliations and ad hoc VAT queries
