Job Description:

The role of a Graduate Risk Manager at Gardiner and Theobald LLP involves supporting the successful delivery of construction projects. As a Risk Manager, you will identify early risks and opportunities, communicate clearly, and manage effectively using various tools and techniques.

Responsibilities:

  1. Review project schedules to identify potential timeline risks.
  2. Develop an understanding of the principles of estimating/cost management.
  3. Assess likelihood, impact (schedule and cost) of risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Schedule:

You will work closely with the project team to review project schedules, assess technical quality, and build schedules for Monte Carlo risk modelling. You will also develop an understanding of the principles of estimating/cost management and perform gap analysis exercises on project estimates.

Cost:

You will provide recommendations on Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) structure to ensure it is appropriate for Monte Carlo risk modelling. You will also review and develop large risk data sets in preparation for risk modelling.

Risk Management:

You will develop and maintain project risk registers, assess likelihood and impact of risks, and propose mitigation strategies. You will also facilitate and lead Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) workshops and interpret risk modelling results.

Risk Modelling:

You will describe the QRA process to clients, establish a tailored process, and build a risk model for Monte Carlo analysis. You will also interpret risk modelling results and define key risk and uncertainty drivers.

Reporting:

You will produce technical reports on project information suitability for Monte Carlo risk modelling and understand the importance of client care and building relationships.
