Electrical Project Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the delivery of £10m+ EC&I projects from concept to commissioning. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects, ensuring high standards of SHEQ, and working closely with internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of £10m+ EC&I projects from concept to commissioning, including feasibility studies and design reviews.
  • Identify and resolve issues with electrical distribution and control systems.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of site infrastructure (boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, etc.).
  • Ensure clear communication between internal colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Support the Manufacturing Team to deliver business improvement plans in line with company priorities.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Specialist skills in Electrical, Control Systems, and Instrumentation (EC&I).
  • Proven experience managing projects in Process or FMCG industries.
  • Experience working with electrical distribution systems (6.6kV and below).
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Areas (Vapour and Dust).
  • Relevant qualification such as Degree/HNC/HND (desirable).
  • Project management qualifications (Prince2, APM, or Six Sigma) are advantageous.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
