About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commissioning Specialist to join our Construction team in Oswestry. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for providing commissioning planning and control for the project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Resource prediction and management for the project
  • Maintaining a realistic commissioning programme in collaboration with the project programme
  • Maintaining an up-to-date commissioning plan that reflects the scope and requirements of the project
  • Day-to-day delivery and coordination of all commissioning on site
  • Effective engagement with client and operational staff to ensure smooth integration of assets into the existing works without detriment or risk to service level agreements

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and operating an optimised interface with the MWH engineering team to ensure 'design for commissioning'
  • Preparing training plans, organizing specialist training by equipment suppliers, and personally delivering training where appropriate
  • Facilitating feedback of improvement information from commissioning
  • Encouraging and managing off-site testing and pre-commissioning activities by suppliers or others where appropriate
  • Ensuring commissioning is carried out safely in accordance with regulations and procedures
  • Ensuring all necessary commissioning documentation is produced in a timely manner and cooperating with Technical Documentation teams to ensure timely delivery of O&M manuals

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification at HNC/HND/degree (electrical, mechanical or process), extensive commissioning knowledge and awareness, and previous track record in managing commissioning at site level.
