Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Associate to join our team in neurosciences, working within the elective admissions department. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery and coordinating their admission process. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a commitment to delivering excellent patient care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient admission and prepare them for surgery on the day of admission
  • Resolve any unforeseen issues in a timely manner
  • Provide nursing care post-operatively in accordance with the Nursing Associate Competency Requirements
  • Work collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary team to meet the changing health and care needs of patients and the public

Requirements

  • Foundation Degree (FDSc) nursing associate or equivalent qualification
  • Nursing Associate with active NMC registration
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
