Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Engineer to join our night shift team at a leading food processing company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
  • Efficiently dismantle and reassemble production equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Provide detailed reports on maintenance activities, highlighting issues and resolutions.
  • Manage inventory with precision, ensuring accurate documentation and resource allocation.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment, contributing to the growth and evolution of our operations.
  • Engage in special projects, applying expertise to critical initiatives as required.
  • Collaborate with contractors, ensuring smooth and effective partnership in all tasks.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and health and safety practices, leading by example.
  • Contribute to fabrication tasks across the business, showcasing versatility.
  • Support the company's risk management strategy, playing a key role in safeguarding operations.
Person Specification:
  • Completed a recognized apprenticeship to ONC/HNC level or equivalent, with a strong track record in electrical control (PLCs, contactors, relays, safety circuits, etc.).
  • A mechanical and electrical bias is desirable, with competency in both areas.
  • Essential experience from working in a food production environment, understanding the unique challenges and standards of the industry.
