Maintenance Apprentice

We are excited to partner with a leading Global Consumer Goods company to assist with the recruitment of Multi-Skilled Engineers during a period of significant growth and expansion.
About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative business at their state-of-the-art facility.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various manufacturing equipment, including conveying and distribution systems.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Conduct fault finding on electrical and mechanical machinery.
- Utilize knowledge of SCADA systems and PLC programming to optimize equipment performance.
About The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in maintenance engineering within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Formal qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering, accompanied by relevant training and experience.
- Experience in maintaining standard industry machinery, including conveyor belt systems, bucket fillers, and strapping machines.
- Knowledge of British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards for hygiene and cleanliness would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a program of planned preventative maintenance and condition-based monitoring for key equipment and machinery.
- Support and encourage a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program, training colleagues in relevant activities.
- Assist with additional maintenance tasks across UK sites as required.
- Train machine operators to ensure continuous improvement and optimize equipment performance.
- Monitor and analyze system, line, and product performance using engineering EAM systems.
- Work a rotating 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with flexibility required for start and finish times.
