Childcare Support Worker
About the Role:We are seeking a Childcare Support Worker with a passion for delivering high-quality childcare services to join our team at Freedom Care. Your purpose is to support the delivery of exceptional childcare experiences, adhering to our safeguarding policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:- To work collaboratively with the Early Years Educator to set up the creche, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for the children.
- To support children with their daily routines, including nappy changing and toileting procedures.
- To assist with meal times, snacks, and other activities that promote social and emotional development.
- To engage with parents and carers, communicating effectively about the child's needs and progress.
- To contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting respect and empathy among colleagues.
- To maintain accurate records of children's progress, sharing information with relevant parties as required.
- To participate in ongoing professional development, enhancing skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional childcare services.
- A minimum of L2 in Childcare or equivalent experience.
- Safeguarding L2 (we can provide training).
- An enhanced DBS will be required.
- Safeguarding - Food Hygiene if relevant for your role.
- An understanding of the developmental stages of young children.
- A sound knowledge and understanding of working with the EYFS, and how this contributes towards planning activities to extend children's development.
£18,000 - £22,000 per annum.
