We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at Tradewind Recruitment. As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils with special educational needs
- Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to deliver tailored learning experiences
- Help manage classroom behaviour and provide emotional support
- Encourage pupil independence and boost confidence in the classroom
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a school setting
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is preferred but not essential
- A passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to varied student needs
- A valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one)
