Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - PMLD Support Role

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in a dynamic learning environment. This role offers opportunities to work with a large and supportive trust, providing tailored support to children with PMLD and assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with PMLD, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom activities and help create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver high-quality education and care.
  • Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, specifically working with children who have PMLD.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and needs associated with PMLD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
