Job Title: Head of Geography

Teaching Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Geography to join our team. As a key member of our education team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive Geography curriculum, managing and mentoring a team of Geography teachers, and monitoring student progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver a Geography curriculum that meets the needs of our students
  • Manage and mentor a team of Geography teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
  • Monitor student progress and implement interventions when necessary
  • Organize field trips and extracurricular activities related to Geography
  • Ensure that all teachers have the necessary qualifications and training for this role
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Master's degree in Education or Geography
  • Leadership or management qualification
Working Environment:

This role will primarily be based in a school environment, with regular classroom teaching and administrative responsibilities. Occasional travel for field trips and meetings may be required.
