Senior Geography Education SpecialistAbout the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geography Education Specialist to lead our Geography team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive Geography curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes student engagement.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Geography teachers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Monitor student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions to drive student success.
  • Organise field trips and extracurricular activities that enhance the Geography learning experience and foster a sense of community.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure cross-curricular links and promote a cohesive educational programme.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field, with a strong understanding of curriculum design and delivery.
Working Conditions

This role will primarily be based in a school environment, with regular classroom teaching and administrative responsibilities. Occasional travel for field trips and meetings may be required.
