Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Test Engineer to join our dynamic technical team at Dexory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, prototype builds, and HIL testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement HIL test systems for various robotic components and systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide continuous help and support for troubleshooting and fault finding on fully built robots.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Gather requirements and create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on system requirements and specifications.
  • Modeling and Configuration: Develop models and configure HIL setups to replicate real-world scenarios.
  • Validation and Verification: Perform validation and verification of control systems and software using HIL platforms.
  • Analysis and Collaboration: Analyze test results, identify issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document test procedures, test results, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve HIL test processes and methodologies to enhance test efficiency and coverage.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in HIL testing and robotics technologies.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to junior team members and other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in HIL testing, preferably in a robotics or automotive environment.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with HIL test systems, experience with robotic systems, sensors, and actuators, strong understanding of embedded systems and real-time control systems, proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and experience with communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C).
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment, and knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to robotics.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Advanced Experience: Experience with autonomous robotic systems or advanced technologies (MIL spec, avionics, motorsport, etc).
  • Test Methods and Frameworks: Knowledge of test methods and related frameworks.
  • Certifications: Certification in relevant areas.
Working Conditions:
  • Warehouse Test Environment: Warehouse test environment with occasional travel to test sites or customer locations.
  • Overtime: Occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry equipment that is large and bulky.
  • Computer Workstation: Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
