Metro Rod works with various clients in the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial, and Leisure sectors. As a fast-growing and dynamic business, we're part of an expanding group, Franchise Brands.

Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company, Metro Plumb, are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services. Our services are delivered on a largely reactive basis by over 60 franchisees across the UK. We've been clearing and unblocking drains for over thirty years, proud of our reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction.

We're looking for an individual with experience in reactive drainage to support the Branch Manager and Director with day-to-day operations. This role is perfect for those who have worked in domestic and commercial reactive drainage and are looking for a more office-based position.

As a supervisory role, you'll oversee the engineering team and the day-to-day running of the drainage business. You'll be the 'go-to' person for escalations, technical issues, project plans, and larger-scale works.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project plans and timelines
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to deadlines
  • Plan large-scale works
  • Validate CCTV surveys and produce reports
  • Good experience in domestic and commercial drainage (blockages and CCTV surveys)
  • Good knowledge/experience of drainage civils works is preferable
  • Good telephone manner and computer literate
  • Willingness to complete SSSTS course, and possibly SMSTS
  • Driving license
