Job Title: Senior or Principal Transport Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join our Manchester transport planning team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality transport planning services to our clients in the private and public sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and transport chapters for environmental impact assessment
  • Analyse, collate, and interpret data to inform transport planning decisions
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, including attending meetings and preparing fee proposals
  • Mentor and support junior staff, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development
  • Stay up-to-date with current practices, guidelines, and industry developments
Requirements:
  • 4-6 years of experience in transport planning, with a strong understanding of highway design principles and transport modelling software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office, with experience of software packages such as TRICS, Junction 10, and LinSIG
  • Degree or Masters in a relevant subject, such as transport planning, civil engineering, or geography
  • Professional accreditation, such as CIHT, CILT, or ICE
