Specialist Safeguarding Children and Adults Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Safeguarding Children and Adults Advisor to join our dynamic team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Named Professionals for Safeguarding and the Safeguarding Leadership Team to ensure that all NELFT staff can access safeguarding advice and support.
- Participate in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the safeguarding strategy using a SMART approach.
- Develop and deliver safeguarding training, and attend internal and external safeguarding children and/or adults meetings, Safeguarding Children/Adults Board subgroups.
- Provide safeguarding children supervision for a defined group of staff and support staff in the preparation of written reports.
- Support the delivery of the annual Safeguarding Children/Adult Audit Programme.
- Provide support to staff involved in the Safeguarding Adults Process or Child Protection processes, attending Child Protection conferences, strategy meetings, and other interagency/professional meetings as needed.
- Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Allied Health Professional with current registration with NMC or HCPC.
- Teaching/Mentoring Qualification or working towards.
- Evidence of ongoing Safeguarding Children level 3 training.
- Minimum of two years' experience post-registration.
- Experience of interagency work, audit, report writing, and participation in safeguarding reviews.
