Job Title: Scenic Workshop Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scenic Workshop Manager to join our team at Creative Personnel. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading and developing our scenic workshop team, ensuring the highest possible standards and deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the scenic workshop team, including line management and training.
  • Manage the day-to-day tasks of the workshop and scenic warehouse team.
  • Oversee the construction and preparation process of our equipment, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety in the workshop.
  • Manage stock and consumables, and maintain workshop equipment and tools.
  • Provide input on construction design and material specification for custom scenic elements.
  • Contribute to the development of scenic products and provide hands-on construction expertise.
  • Communicate effectively with the Head of Scenic and other departments to ensure seamless collaboration.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in the live events industry, with a specialization in scenic construction.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent carpentry skills and knowledge of workshop tools and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and CAD plans.
  • Experience with CNC machines is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple jobs and work to deadlines.
  • Flexibility and a customer-focused attitude.
