About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to oversee our homelessness services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the service, ensuring its effective operation and coordination with statutory and voluntary organisations and service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise staff, ensuring they perform their duties effectively and adhere to health and safety and other policies.
  • Oversee administrative and financial procedures, contributing to service development, and coordinating the resettlement programme.
  • Handle reporting to the Head of Service and Corporate Management Team and participate in meetings and policy development.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes.
Requirements
  • A qualification recognised by the SSSC, such as an SVQ Level 4 in Social Care, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in managing and developing staff, budget management, and service development.
  • A background in homelessness, mental health, substance use, or criminal justice is beneficial.
  • Commitment to supporting homeless individuals and ability to manage a demanding workload.
  • Membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and successful vetting checks.
