Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to work in a specialist school setting in Burnley. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of working with pupils with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH) and be able to develop positive relationships with students.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work on an ongoing, full-time basis until July 2025, with potential for permanent roles becoming available in the future. They will lead pre-planned lessons, ensure pupils are engaging and on task, and consistently reinforce the school's behaviour policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading pre-planned lessons and ensuring pupil engagement
  • Developing positive relationships with SEMH pupils
  • Consistently reinforcing the school's behaviour policy
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge and understanding of working with SEN and challenging behaviour
  • A proven record of engaging all pupils and raising their attainment
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure or subscription to the DBS Update Service
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
  • Professional reference checks
  • A valid CV covering all employment and education since leaving secondary school
