Job Summary

St Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice is a leading provider of adult hospice care in Winsford, Cheshire. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Associate to join our team and provide high-quality care to patients and their families.

Main Duties
  • Provide professional nursing support to patients and families in our Day Hospice and across the hospice settings.
  • Supervise and guide students, junior members of staff, unqualified carers, and volunteers in the Hospice.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Hospice service, ensuring that patients and families remain at the centre of our care.

Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse Associate on the NMC register.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification.
  • GCSE Grade A-C in Maths & English or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Advanced communication skills training.
  • Post-registration experience of working in a palliative care setting.
  • Experience of working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to participate in audit and training.
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues, patients, and those close to them.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
