We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a background in Ground Maintenance or Landscaping, looking for a challenging new role within a market-leading business, offering the opportunity to manage a skilled team working with a large defence client and with extensive career progression opportunities.
The business is a leading organization in the fields of Ground Maintenance, Landscaping & Civil Engineering, recognizing hard work and dedication and willing to invest in you, so you can reap the rewards.
Your Role:- Act as the primary point of contact for senior client officers across all contracts in the area.
- Develop and maintain client relationships with integrity at all levels.
- Ensure that systems are being fully utilized at the contract to ensure complete focus on past, present, and future income, expenditure, and margin, and that contract management is always aware of their financial position.
- Diverse responsibilities including ground maintenance at RAF airfields, sports facilities, high-level expectations, and explosive areas.
- Provide leadership and direction to direct reports.
- Focus on compliance across the contract, with the requirements of the Company's integrated management system.
- Ensure all direct reports focus on complying with relevant Health and Safety legislation.
- Develop relationships with senior officers in target organizations across the area.
- Take proactive action with current clients in relation to additional works or services.
- Highly experienced operational manager with a track record of successfully managing multiple clients within the Ground Maintenance sector.
- Experience of managing operations across an area of around £1 million plus sales PA.
- Specific proven track record of successful contract turnarounds and of growing a contract.
- Business development skills with experience of strategic tendering.
- First-class motivational and management skills.
- They must be hands-on and present as they will be out on-site and have lots of client interaction.
- Must be able to pass security clearance up to SC – this means they will need references and must have lived in the UK for 5 years.
