Year 2 Class Lead

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced and ambitious Year 2 teacher to lead a lovely class from January. If you're a dedicated educator looking to work in Stalybridge, this role is perfect for you.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school community. As the Year 2 teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the national curriculum standards. You will have experience in Read Write Inc phonics and will support children to become fluent, passionate, and confident readers.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver phonics from the Read Write Inc scheme and support reading for pleasure
- Plan and deliver effective Maths lessons to ensure pupils are fluent in the fundamentals and can achieve proficiently and conceptual understanding
- Ensure lessons are inclusive and cater for visual, audio, and kinesthetic learners
- Have a nurturing approach with the class and build strong relationships with children, staff, and families
- Use formative and summative assessment strategies effectively to determine the need for intervention and to address misconceptions and drive progress
- Be a fantastic team player to communicate and inform the TA of daily activities
- Contribute to the wider life of the school
- Must hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Be able to provide 2 recent references that demonstrate excellence in the KS1 setting
- Be subject to an enhanced DBS check
- Proof of right to work in the UK
