Job Title: Senior NPD TechnologistJob Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior NPD Technologist to join our NPD team at Pilgrims Europe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering the strategy for our categories and customers, managing costings, and ensuring product submissions meet high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement NPD strategies to drive business growth and improve product offerings.
  • Manage costings and ensure products are technically compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technical, Commercial, and Central Teams, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Lead the development of new products, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and effective launches.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of product development activity, including processes, new ingredients, and packaging.
  • Continuously assess current products and recommend redevelopments to ensure they meet current market requirements.
  • Ensure the safety of self and others while at work, adhering to Company Health and Safety and Hygiene policies.
  • Act as an ambassador for Pilgrims Europe, promoting a professional image and approach at all times.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management, critical path, and NPD Stage Gate management.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Resilient problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • 3+ years of experience in the food industry, with a proven track record of launching new products.
  • Excellent IT skills, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and formula writing.
  • Degree in food or relevant qualification, or equivalent transferable experience within food manufacturing.
