About the Role

This exciting opportunity exists for an HCPC registered dietitian to join our paediatric dietetic team at Newcastle Hospitals. The role involves delivering a comprehensive and effective clinical nutrition and dietetic service in acute hospital services.

The ideal candidate will have already gained post-registration dietetic experience across a range of areas in an acute hospital setting. Experience of working with paediatric patients is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to research and audit, take part in student training and supervision, and work effectively with colleagues to deliver a high-quality dietetic service.

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Person Specification
  • Degree in Dietetics or Science/Nutrition Degree plus Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics
  • Evidence of specialist training or validated qualification in one or more speciality areas.
  • Basic counselling skills or training in cognitive behaviour therapy
  • Teaching certificate.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or similar
  • Clinical supervisory skills training.
