About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the care of patients with mental health difficulties, learning disabilities, autism, and dementia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and clinical leadership to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient experience, reduce health inequalities, and promote parity of esteem between mental health and physical health.
  • Lead the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver a comprehensive and cohesive service to patients.
  • Conduct audits and research to inform practice and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead on the reviewing of incidents and make recommendations to improve service delivery and reduce risks.
Requirements
  • Significant post-registration experience of working with learning disability, autism, or mental health patient groups.
  • Knowledge and experience of statutory guidance, including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Children Act.
  • Experience of participating in clinical and safeguarding supervision.
  • Strategic planning and leadership skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the NHS and current key policies and priorities.
