">Job Summary
">We are seeking an experienced Band 5 or 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team at Royal Stoke University Hospital. The successful candidate will provide speech and language therapy services across various inpatient settings, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to address complex care issues and facilitate safe and effective early discharge.
">About the Role
">The post holder will manage a varied caseload, including dysphagia and disorders of communication, and work closely with colleagues from other disciplines to improve patient outcomes. A key aspect of this role is to demonstrate initiative and autonomy while being creative in finding solutions to complex problems.
">Key Responsibilities

- Provide speech and language therapy services across inpatient settings at Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital">
- Manage a varied caseload, including dysphagia and disorders of communication">
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to address complex care issues">
- Demonstrate initiative and autonomy in finding solutions to complex problems">
Requirements
">To be considered for this role, you must have:
">- ">
- A degree in Speech and Language Therapy">
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)">
- Experience working within a hospital setting, preferably with patients with complex communication and swallowing disorders">
- Postgraduate RCSLT accredited dysphagia course or equivalent">
- Ability to prioritise a clinical caseload safely and delegate tasks appropriately">
- Experience with instrumental assessment of dysphagia">
Salary and Benefits
