Smart DCC is a leading provider of network connectivity solutions for the UK Smart Metering market.

We are seeking a Senior WAN Assurance Lead to join our team in London or Manchester.

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The Senior WAN Assurance Lead will provide operational leadership within a matrix management environment in respect of DCC WAN connectivity and coverage.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of DCC's reliable, secure, and efficient network connectivity and coverage on behalf of the UK Smart Metering market.

  1. Main Responsibilities:
  2. Providing leadership, knowledge, and expertise related to UK Smart Metering WAN communications services.
  3. Design, implement, and manage the structures required for effective performance management across LTE WAN delivery.
  4. Responsible for ensuring continuous commercial and technical performance improvements with LTE WAN Service Providers.
  5. Recruitment and management of Network Assurance team, as appropriate.
  6. Responsible for In-Life monitoring of DCC WAN performance.
  7. Influence operations and business leaders across DCC to bring alignment and clarity related to Network Connectivity within the DCC Operations portfolio.
  8. Own and drive Network Connectivity effectiveness, driving KPIs and SLA achievements.
  9. Provide support to Programme and Project teams in relation to WAN Network connectivity.
  10. Liaise with and manage WAN Service Providers to ensure performance and delivery in line with commitments.
  11. Accountable for delivery of reporting and process improvements related to delivery of DCC WAN performance and connectivity.
  12. Provide cross-functional engagement with all Product and Networks functions to deliver a shared strategy for the management of New Product and Change.
  13. Support the Head of New Product and Change deliver outcomes and future vision for disaggregation in the Comms Hub and Network Programme, DSP, FSM, and subsequent future programmes in support of DCC's TOM.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience of UK Smart Metering Programme and/or Smart Metering Devices or similar.
  • Experience of Planning, Ownership, and Delivery of technical services.
  • Stakeholder Management - Building trusted relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to be flexible and work under pressure.
  • Experience of managing or delivery of product changes into complex Smart Metering Device Ecosystems.
  • SMETS2 Technical and Service Delivery knowledge.
