About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dynamic Procurement Leader to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency
  • Lead a team of procurement professionals to achieve business objectives
  • Source, negotiate, and award contracts for indirect services and supplies
  • Perform cost and price analysis, develop negotiation strategies, and lead negotiations to create value for money outcomes
  • Support early supplier identification and engagement for new business opportunities
  • Utilize source selection techniques, perform cost analyses, conduct negotiations, and identify supplier risks
  • Provide risk and opportunity analysis for introduction of new suppliers to mitigate risks
  • Ensure that requirements are properly communicated to suppliers
  • Manage supplier performance to cost, schedule, and quality requirements
  • Interface with internal and supplier cross-functional organizations
  • Assist in the development of tenders and agreements
  • Execute to customer requirements, including government regulations, public law, and company policies and procedures
  • Work with suppliers and other stakeholders to achieve collaborative partnering and strategic relationship management to deliver value for the organization
  • Contribute to the creation of business capture strategies by recommending strategic choices to improve the organization's short and long-term performance
  • Actively promote the contributions that the function can make to achieving corporate objectives across the organization, with stakeholders, and with the supply chain
  • Continually assesses and promotes sustainable and responsible procurement, including social, cultural, and diversity values in the organization and throughout the supply chain
  • Facilitate relationships between functional organizations and suppliers
  • Utilize project management skills and techniques when managing suppliers
  • Initiate and participate in supplier assessments and development activities
  • Produce support data or business cases/briefing materials for management reviews
  • Participate/lead supplier assessments and supplier development activity teams, including the administration of appropriate due diligence activity

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Subcontract Management, Procurement, Commodity, and/or related field
  • Experience managing a team
  • Related degree/MCIPS/BA/MBA or equivalent
  • Ability/experience to manage a medium-sized team with focus on policy and strategy implementation, along with operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the sub-function
  • Proactive, flexible, and positive attitude
  • Able to lead effectively in a multi-functional team
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and ability to brief at mid/senior level
  • Knowledge of import/export legislation and logistical requirements
  • Administration of delivery/acceptance/invoicing of goods and services
  • Experience in or exposure to negotiating medium/high complexity non-standard agreements
  • Experience of problem-solving and dispute resolution at senior level
  • Experience or knowledge of MRP, SAP, and purchase order placement/material receipt processes
  • Experience of developing and managing subcontractor relationship management and collaborative working
  • Experience of developing supplier improvement strategies
  • Experience of working with complex international suppliers/programs
