Administrative Support Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrator to support the Customs Manager in our small business. The successful candidate will assist with administrative tasks, manage email correspondence, and work with the team on varied tasks to support our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Customs Manager with administrative duties, including email management and task coordination.
  2. Manage bookings and facilitate the smooth running of training courses.
  3. Schedule meetings and book rooms / create Teams invites accordingly.
  4. Ensure month end invoices are completed accurately and on time, including assistance with credit control duties.
  5. Control and plan social media posts in conjunction with the Communications team.
  6. Follow the principles of the integrated safety management within LS Customs and any Peterson company or affiliate.

Performance Measures

  1. Personal performance against KPI's.
  2. Control of work as per instructions, ensuring that everything is accurately completed on time.
  3. Comply with all of LS Customs Management's and client processes, and HMRC regulations.
  4. Client and inter-departmental feedback.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 3 years' experience in an Administrative role.
  2. Competent in Microsoft Office packages.
  3. Ability to effectively plan and prioritise workload.
  4. Strong communication skills both internally and with external clients.
  5. Minimum Maths & English Standard Grade (or equivalent).
  6. Experience in tax, customs, logistical or trade compliance administration would be advantageous but not essential.
