Atlantic Projects Company Limited is a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company that has been serving the power generation industry for over 45 years. We provide comprehensive engineering services for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of thermal power plants in Ireland, the UK, and worldwide.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a background in Mechanical and/or Steel Erection and will be responsible for managing and controlling projects assigned by the company.

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the safe execution of all works and activities on the project by both direct and subcontract trades or staff. The Project Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Managing project mechanical works to ensure compliance with project-specific and company specifications for quality and safety.
  • Generating work packs of information from suppliers to enable construction teams to build works efficiently and correctly.
  • Reviewing and preparing Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) to manage the safety of the scope, ensuring compliance with all legal and company procedures.
  • Leading mechanical procurement and managing mechanical packages through procurement, delivery, installation, and commissioning.
  • Managing and liaising with stakeholders in relation to mechanical expertise.
  • Planning works to ensure maximum efficiency and protection of the company's commercial position.
  • Maximizing productivity by directing and controlling the project team and all resources.
  • Ensuring the correct production and appropriate filling of all project documentation.
  • Project schedule and cost tracking and working with planners to report on same.
  • Managing construction supervision, engineering, and labor force to support completion to the client's satisfaction.
  • Maintaining and implementing Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Systems meeting the needs of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 and any subsequent or related standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An Engineering Degree (BSc or equivalent).
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft packages, primarily within Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of project engineering in construction and engineering.
  • Use of AutoCAD and BIM Packages.
