About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team at Community Transport. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a safe and clean store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure high standards of shop floor displays and maintain a clean and tidy store environment.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including Gift Aid processing.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Assist in the recruitment, induction, and training of volunteers and work placements.
  • Support the management team in achieving sales targets and maintaining store performance.
  • Carry out daily stock rotation, collections, and deliveries as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in retail or customer-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in EPOS systems.
  • Experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Gumtree, and eBay.
