Job Title: External Cleaning Operative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented External Cleaning Operative to join our team at Savills Management Resources. As an External Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of all external areas within the centre's perimeter to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all areas of responsibility are cleaned to the required standards and that all machinery is well maintained.
  • Follow all of the departmental procedures and schedules correctly at all times.
  • Ensure that all waste is dealt with appropriately.
  • Comply with all health and safety procedures for the department including, COSHH, PPE, clinical waste and sharps policy.
  • Use compactors and balers.
  • Liaise with team leaders and colleagues to ensure a smooth running of the department.
  • Ensure that all graffiti is removed immediately.
  • Transport waste from collection points, separate and compact appropriately whilst adhering to the centres recycling policy.
  • Sweep the car parks, paths, main entrances and all of the external walkways.
  • Litter pick all the landscaped and surrounding areas.
  • Move any furniture/equipment and displays for events functions and meetings.
  • Clear snow/ice to allow for access to all areas gritting as necessary.
  • Ensure that all check sheets for machinery are used correctly.
  • Ensure the safe operation of machinery using the operators guide and wear protective clothing/footwear at all times.
  • Actively promote the centre's recycling policy with our retailers.
  • Take the initiative in assisting customers.
  • Ensure a good knowledge of all facilities and processes in order to deal with customer's queries, complaints and compliments in line with company procedure.
  • Communicate well with colleagues, other teams and team leaders.
  • Contribute to team effort and success.
  • Attend regular team briefings and meetings.
  • Take care of own and others health and safety.
  • Maintain safe working practices in line with HASAWA.
  • Be aware of your health and safety responsibilities.
  • Identify hazards and take steps to correct them.
  • Maintain a smart and well groomed appearance meeting our uniform standards.
  • Undertake any further duties as requested by the supervisory or management team.
  • Increasing your knowledge and skills through education and training.
  • Attend in-house and external training relevant to your role.
Working Hours:

20 hours

Salary:

£13,364.00
