Job Overview:

A Theatre Operations Manager is required at AWD online to oversee the technical aspects of our performing arts facilities. This role will involve leading a team of staff and students in maintaining the operation of lighting and sound equipment.

The successful candidate will have experience in performance arts, drama, theatre, auditorium, set design, sound and lighting, and/or current multimedia technology. They will be responsible for advising and providing technical support for community groups and individuals using our centre.

This full-time position involves working 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, during term time (39 weeks). Flexibility is required for performance weeks and evening events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical operations for school performing arts facilities.
  • Ensure the operation of all lighting and sound equipment.
  • Advise on technical support for Community groups/individuals.
  • Train students on site as technical crew for productions.
  • Manage inventory usage of main hall and auditoriums.
  • Provide technical support across the school.
