At the Royal Agricultural University, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Yard Grooms. The successful candidates will work closely with the Equestrian Centre Manager and team to maintain high standards in horse husbandry, technical support, and stable management.
The role involves overseeing the care of all horses onsite, maintaining cleanliness and biosecurity across the yard, and keeping accurate records of stock and procedures. As a Yard Groom, you will also supervise and support casual employees when needed, follow the RAU's Health and Safety policies, and assist with routine site maintenance and the operation of agricultural machinery.
We offer a competitive salary of £21,253.50 - £22,214.40 per annum, along with a 35-hour working week on a flexible rota. As a passionate advocate for equestrian care, you will be committed to ongoing professional development and have excellent horse-handling skills and practical equestrian experience. A full UK driving license and a good standard of general education (GCSE or equivalent) are essential requirements. We welcome applications from individuals ideally with, or willing to train to, BHS Complete Stage 2 or equivalent.
