Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a group of infants, ensuring that their needs are met and their dignity is respected.
  • Support the Lead Nurse in delivering the core values and beliefs of the ward/department, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Undertake, perform, and assess enhanced skills within the clinical area, to improve the patient experience and journey.
  • Develop competencies in self, safeguarding practice and effectiveness in role, ensuring compliance with the NMC Code of Conduct.
  • Empower self and colleagues to creatively meet professional and organisational objectives, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.

Person Specification:

  • RN / RSCN / RM qualification, with current NMC Registration or due to obtain within the next couple of months.
  • Experience of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for a group of infants, with evidence of lifelong learning and continuing professional development.
  • Excellent IT, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Able to recognise potentially stressful situations and help deal with them appropriately, with a flexible approach to working hours.
