Actuarial Pricing Specialist

IQUW is a specialty (re)insurer at Lloyd's (Syndicate 1856) underwriting a diverse range of Property, Commercial and Specialty (re)insurance products from Cargo and Marine to Political Violence, Terror and War. About the Role

This position was created to support our continued expansion to underwrite Specialty, Commercial and Reinsurance lines. As an Actuarial Pricing Specialist, you will work closely with Underwriters to define key policy parameters and pricing model requirements, and aid in designing and implementing pricing processes for the syndicate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain data sources consumed by the business, ensuring integrity, and validating derived insights.
  • Set up, maintain, and enhance pricing templates for use by the underwriting community.
  • Design, build, and manage the distribution of MI across all classes.
  • Support the implementation of pricing software.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting community and wider actuarial colleagues to build partnerships and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Actuarial experience gained from any background, or industry i.e., Pensions, Life, Reserving, Capital, or Pricing.
  • Worked with large datasets previously, and are confident in utilizing Excel to provide solutions to the business.
  • Great data analytics skills and experience, able to work with vast datasets and identify data integrity concerns.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build partnerships quickly with the underwriting community and wider actuarial colleagues.
