Buying and Inventory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Buying Assistant to join our global retail team in Watford, Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong numeracy skills to develop their careers in a dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and spoken English, as well as good negotiation skills. Computer literacy is essential, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, and the use of internet and emailing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and update computer records and produce reports for buying staff.
- Review department inventory reports weekly and track item replenishment and purchase orders.
- Set up and track item replenishment and purchase orders in the computer system to ensure the smooth flow of goods to the warehouses.
- Communicate with regional buying offices, depots, warehouses, vendors, and members to relate and gather information and resolve issues.
- Assist Buyers and Assistant Buyers in merchandising projects as required.
- Transport buyer sample merchandise to and from sample storage room on cart.
Requirements:
- Degree education preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English and good negotiation skills.
- Computer literate, proficient in word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Word and Excel) and in the use of internet and emailing.
