We are looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at The Porterbrook Care Home. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our care team and ensuring the highest standard of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and coordinate the care team to ensure the smooth running of the home and maintain a positive atmosphere.
  2. Assist residents with daily living activities, prioritizing their dignity and independence.
  3. Oversee medication management, including ordering, administration, and documentation, while maintaining accurate records.
  4. Foster effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure clear and compassionate communication.
  5. Develop a supportive team environment by promoting respect for diversity and teamwork.
  6. Welcome visitors and show prospective residents around the home's facilities.
  7. Respond promptly to emergency call bells and provide or call for assistance as needed.
Requirements:
  • Suitable qualifications, preferably SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Practical Medication Administration training with competencies.
  • Leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure. We offer a competitive salary of £12.50 per hour and a range of benefits, including pension scheme, onsite parking, paid DBS check, uniform provided, and 36 hours per week.
