Our client, a Global Freight Forwarder with its head office in Essex, is seeking a General Manager/Sales Development candidate. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the company's existing range of services to Central and Eastern Europe and developing new products and routes/markets. The role will involve reporting directly to the Group Chairman and working closely with the senior management team to drive business growth and expansion. Key responsibilities will include:

* Developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue and market share
* Building and maintaining relationships with key clients and partners
* Identifying new business opportunities and developing proposals to secure new contracts
* Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development, with experience of working in a similar role. They will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
