Full Time Salaried General Practitioner

Knightwick Surgery is a thriving traditional country general practice, highly regarded and appreciated by our delightful patients. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive, and inclusive team.
Job DescriptionWe are offering a competitive salary of £80,000-£120,000 per annum, depending on experience, to support the GP Partners in managing a busy and interesting clinical caseload. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take part in leading on key disease areas, monitoring trends in treatment, staff training, and prescribing, as well as assist in developing appropriate healthcare services for our diverse patient list.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent patient manner and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to our electronic clinical system (EMIS Web). They will also be aware of the importance of continuing professional development and have a commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality primary care services to our patients, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, triaging, visiting patients at home, and checking/signing repeat prescriptions.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems.
- Recording clear and contemporaneous IT-based patient consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Collecting data for audit purposes and contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation.
- Assisting in developing computer-based patient records and attending training, practice meetings, and events organised by the practice or other agencies.
The successful candidate will be required to work some days single-handedly and cover additional sessions/swap sessions during times of sickness and annual leave as agreed with the Partners. A commitment to cover responsibilities of the Practice when others are on leave is also essential.
Person SpecificationWe are looking for a candidate with:
- Current full GMC Registration and inclusion in the GMC GP Register.
- Evidence of CPD & further education/training professional updating and post-registration training.
- A commitment to developing professional practice and skills, with experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and using EMIS Web electronic clinical system.
