The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working as a buyer in a small to medium enterprise and will have a strong understanding of automotive parts. They will be proficient in MS Office Suite and have a can-do attitude, working well on their own initiative as well as being part of the wider team.
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for:
- Monitoring supplier performance and developing improvement programmes.
- Maintaining supplier details on the procurement system and reviewing supplier performance.
- Sourcing and placing orders for contract and non-contract items using manual requisitions and digital parts requisition systems.
- Adjusting parts system component parameters to achieve on-time availability and appropriate batch sizes.
- Progressing and chasing outstanding PO's in liaison with Production management.
- Controlling goods inwards and stock management.
The Procurement Specialist will have:
- A strong understanding of business tools such as Asana, Jira, etc.
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings and data.
- A proven history of working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
