Job Summary

We are seeking a quality-driven Optical Assistant to join our team at Health Care Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, working with our customers to select the correct frames for their lenses, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting customers at the door and providing a warm welcome
  • Assisting customers in selecting the perfect frames for their lenses
  • Measuring frames to ensure a perfect fit
  • Ordering prescription glasses and contact lenses for customers
  • Booking follow-up appointments and making adjustments to frames as needed
  • Carrying out pre-screening tests such as retinal imaging and pressure testing
  • Explaining offers and products to customers
  • Taking payments from customers

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Experience working in an optician's environment
  • A good understanding of English and Maths
  • Basic IT skills
  • Relevant experience in a customer service or retail role
  • A friendly, courteous, and approachable demeanor
