Join Northern Powergrid, a leading energy company, in shaping the future of the energy sector. As an Economic Analyst, you will play a crucial role in interpreting data, performing economic research, and analyzing trends to inform business decisions and policy recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain methodologies for quantitative and economic assessments of the energy sector.
  • Support economists and the team in identifying policy priorities and relevant analysis.
  • Undertake economic modeling analysis and research.
  • Manage data sourcing, organization, and processing for specific analysis.
  • Monitor and report on sector trends based on financial and sectoral data.
  • Interact with economists and strategists to maintain a joined-up view of regulated and unregulated energy markets.
Requirements
  • Qualified to degree level in Economics, Mathematics, or related subjects.
  • Experience in managing complex problem-solving and critical thinking in economic regulation and price reviews.
  • Understanding of UK economic regulation, price reviews, and regulatory frameworks in the energy sector.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Experience in dealing with complex economics projects and analytical models.
