We are seeking a skilled Scientific Supply Chain Strategist to join our team in Cambridge, UK.
Job Description:
The Opportunity:
A leading pharmaceutical company is looking for an experienced Laboratory Inventory Manager to oversee the management of scientific consumables for 2,500+ scientists and lead a team of Stock Service Leads and their reports.
This full-time permanent position is based in a new facility at The Discovery Centre, Bio-Medical Campus in Cambridge. We offer an attractive salary of around £60,000 - £80,000 per year, along with multiple benefits such as annual bonuses, pension schemes, private medical and dental care, and additional days off for birthdays.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (core business hours)
About You
We're looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in supply chain or a science-related field, or equivalent experience in laboratory operations. Your extensive experience as a Scientific Materials Manager in the fast-paced pharmaceutical industry is essential.
- 3-5 years of experience in line management, including coaching and motivating large teams or service leaders, with exposure to second-line management.
- Proven expertise in quality and stock management.
- Strong ability to liaise with senior stakeholders and customers regularly.
- Experience collaborating with multiple business functions such as Science, Procurement, and Account Management, with a clear understanding of their roles in the business.
