Senior Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team at North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Services (NYFRS).
This role involves providing support in delivering on all aspects of budget and budget management. You will monitor and analyse payroll costs to inform budget forecasts and financial decision making.
You will provide specialist advice and support to Finance colleagues and budget holders in both Fire Service operational and support staff functions.
The successful candidate will be a proactive team worker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience of working within Management Accounts and providing analytical information is essential.
Qualifications include AAT Level 4 or an equivalent professional qualification. The ideal candidate will have the potential to continue studying to qualified accountant level.
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Location: North Yorkshire
